Nierras tops Editorial Cartooning in MSPC

Stephen Nierras bagged 1st place in Municipal Schools Press Conference at Anastacio G. Yumul High School on August 16, 2019. Out of 25 competitors Nierras once again prove his way on top by winning the 1st place in Editorial Cartooning English. The topic was all about the LGBTQ discrimination crisis and the SOGIE bill. Her coach, Ma’am Ma. Carlota C. Cano, English Teacher mentioned that his secret was being aware of the social issues and practicing his skills to become a more competent cartoonist. Caluluan High School also grabbed the 3rd place with Mirko Jed Pineda and 5th place with Paul Portugal in the same category. The coach stated that the winners can expect that the preparation for the Division School Press Conference will be more thorough and intense. Nierras was a Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) qualifier last year and aiming to reach National competition for this year together with his co-campus journalists. Division Schools Press Conference will take place in Capas High School on September 26, 2019.
