Concepcion Hon. Mayor Andy D. Lacson with Local Government Unit (LGU) officials initially donated and distributed 255 radio transistors to the parents, and additional 400 pieces at a later date.
The said event was also attended by Tarlac Province Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Ronaldo A. Pozon, Chief Education Supervisors Noel L. Linsao and Dr. Paulino D. De Pano, Assistant Schools Division Superintendents Dr. Ma. Celina Vega and Dr. Armando C. Capili, Public Schools District Supervisor Dr. Rosalinda C. Bartolome, GPTA President Frederick Tacderan, Board Member Saturnino B. Mandal, principal donors, school principals, teachers, and parents.
Linsao said that radio-broadcasting is a helpful tool in education even in their time and it plays a vital role in the improvement of the students’ creative thinking in this pandemic.
“Thank you dear teachers, mga kuya, and the finance unit for having a big part for this accomplishment. Continue soaring high Caluluan High School,” Dr. Jocelyn D. Pili, Principal II of CHS said on her Facebook post.
She also thanked the officials, the sponsors, and the parents who made the event successful.
Teachers had undergone training to help them with basic scriptwriting and broadcasting skills.
CHS on Air radio broadcasting started on March 2021 while CHS on Air Facebook Live began on May 4. The radio station for Junior High School students is on 94.1 FM and 103.5 FM for Senior High School students.
RBI serves as a supplement of self-learning modules (SLMs) for better quality education amidst Covid-19.
CHS radio broadcasting will continue to air until the end of school year 2020-2021.
